Hope you all had a pleasant holiday, no matter what you celebrate.  As a present, we have three exciting new foreign horror films to look at.

LESBIAN VAMPIRE KILLERS

That got your attention, didn’t it?  The UK seems to be the center for horror comedies right now, with uneven success.  This new film looks like humorous take on a Hammer film, with even the trailer playing itself for laughs.  Could be interesting and I’m more than willing to give it a try since I’ve enjoyed the majority of the recent British horror comedies.  Have a look and decide for yourself.

IMAGO MORTIS

Once a mecca for bloody horror films, Italy’s output has been less than impressive as of late.  However, this new entry has an interesting concept if a less than thrilling trailer.  The main character discovers that his college is also the home for a cult obsessed with photographing a person’s soul as it leaves the body through the person’s eyes.  Now, a soul only leaves when a person dies and rather than wait around for someone to drop dead on the street while they’re walking by with their camera the cult has taken a more proactive approach.  Death and eye trauma ensue.  Have a look for yourself.

MUTANTS

Courtesy of twitchfilm.net comes a new french movie they’re very excited about.  The trailer looks bloody and intense, though the concept isn’t nearly as original as Twitchfilm seems to think.  It’s yet another zombie film, set in a world where the transformation into a zombie is a long and very painful.  The film follows a man and woman struggling to survive in this world, which becomes even more difficult when the man become infected by a zombie.  This sounds like Zombie Honeymoon with more violence and a bigger budget.  I will agree with Twitchfilm that the cinematographer does look stunning though.
