20121012-200042.jpg After two and a half years! Freak has finally hit. You might of heard The Massive One talk about it on Dysfunctional Workshop or through Facebook and Twitter.

I’m happy to announce Freak, a novel by Mike Patterson has hit the online marketplaces. For years I’ve been hearing rumblings about Freak and how great it was. Now just like I, you can get your hands on a copy by going to Create Space, ordering a copy and waiting a few days for it to arrive at your doorstep.

I hope you all enjoy this book as much as I am. And remember we here at Drunken Zombie support independent literature and all types of reading and writing. Massive.

Synopsis:
Jon is having a rough year.
After dropping out of college, he’s barely holding down a sandwich delivery job as he struggles to find what he was meant to do with his life. He’s feeling stuck in a rut and needs someone or something to reassure him that his whole existence isn’t pointless.
Then one day a lethal virus is discovered in the town of Avery Creek and faster than he can say speeding bullet, Jon finds himself on the wrong side of a government quarantine. At first the virus kills all in its path, but then it starts to change the survivors. Suddenly everyone has developed extraordinary powers…everyone but Jon. Now locked away in a city with thousands of super powered citizens, Jon must learn how to live with his superhero girlfriend, Karen, how to avoid getting victimized by villains, and above all, figure out why he’s the only “normal” left. Karen thinks he’s a late bloomer. His mom thinks he’s “passed over”. Everyone else just thinks he’s a freak.
