One of the things I wanted to do with this 31 Days Of Halloween thing was to take some public domain stuff and maybe show you a side of some famous authors that maybe some of you haven’t seen before.  While it’s not a stretch that H.G. Wells has probably written some horror stories I think people mostly associate him with his sci-fi work.  So with this story The Stolen Body we’re shown all sorts of fun things like paranormal investigators, astral projection, and demon possession.  Man, I wonder if James Wan read this before making Insidious?  Anyway we follow a paranormal researcher that starts dabbling with astral projection only to have his body possessed by a demon while he’s out of it.  Great story.  Give it a read.  And if you haven’t yet head on over to Talk Without Rhythm and check out El Goro’s review of The Deadly Spawn.
