I’m dragging myself off my sick bed to bring you the first day in the 31 Days Of Halloween in conjunction with the Talk Without Rhythm Podcast.  If you haven’t yet head over there and listen to El Goro talk about The Ghoul with Boris Karloff.  But first up in our free horror short stories is a shamless plug for myself.  Figured why not start off with my own short story?  So for the first short story of the month I’m linking to my short story The Incident At Bowling Ball Tree.  In this story I really wanted to capture what it was like in my own childhood to grow up in a rural area.  Lots of time was spent just wandering around in the woods and swimming in the creeks.  Also I wanted to show a flashback to when if you lived out in these areas then sometimes your sibling was your best friend whether you wanted them to be or not.  But what would happen if they found something unusual during one of their outings?  Click on the link below and enjoy.
