My collection of Elvira’s Movie Macabre (Redux) is finished. I recently purchased Elvira’s Movie Macabre: Bloody Madness which contains on disc one A Bucket of Blood, and The Killer Shrews and disc two has Manos: The Hands of Fate, and Don’t look in the Basement.

Also, I’m sorry to report that there are no new extras for this release. The same extras I talked about in my last Macabre post can be found on both disc. But, I can report on that Don’t look in the Basement is in color. I’ve seen the black and white version and yea… It’s only color.

This just in!

Just when I thought I was out… They pull me back in with another Elvira’s Movie Macabre release, maybe. It has come to my attention that on November 6th a collection of all the Movie Macabre movies is coming out in a box set called Elvira’s Movie Macabre: Mega Movie Marathon.

So… You telling me if I waited I could’ve gotten myself a box set, damn! But you won’t find me double dipping on this set unless there are some major new extras and I’m talking about gotta be Massive for me to re-buy all these movies again.

In the mean time, let me tell you about another Movie Macabre DVD I got myself into. In the mid to late two thousands Shout! Factory released the original 80′s Elvira’s Movie Macabre to DVD and I got my hands on one, if you will. With the films Frankenstein’s Castle Of Freaks, and Count Dracula’s Great Love. Each film has it’s own disc and there’s zero special features. But, you can watch the films with or without Elvira’s commentary and the films are uncut. Massive and keep it right here at Drunken Zombie updates on future Movie Macabre DVD releases.
