DVD Special Feature Spotlight: The Rite
Well another exorcism film, this one hit in 2011 and it stars Anthony Hopkins, Colin O’Donoghue, Rutger Hauer and Alice Braga. It’s also inspired by true events. Give or take if I may say so.
Do you know what the TV Guide quote says on the back of the DVD case? I tell yea. “The best film about exorcism since The Exorcist!”
Watch out now, since The Exorcist that’s saying a lot. I think the same was said when The Exorcism of Emily Rose or The Last Exorcism was burning up the box offices. But that’s not here nor there.
As for The Rite it’s an okay movie, Anthony Hopkins gives a good performance. I recommend giving it a once over. Check your Netflix, if you will. Now to the extras… All you have are Deleted Scenes, whitch are really additional or longer scenes that was taken out to move the film along.
