We just debuted our Festival Poster over on the official site for the Film Festival. And lots of positive feedback followed. Matt from Australia did an awesome job and everyone appreciates it. I just love the look and feel of the poster. Makes me think of days when we used to actually to go into video stores to rent movies.
A project I have been working on for awhile with Mike from Cadaver Lab is now ready! I present you the Corpse Collective! A horror movie review site. We don’t do news or any of that day to day stuff. What we do is review horror films. So is there a movie you’ve been thinking about seeing but just aren’t sure? Check out the review on the site and find out if it’s worth the time. Doiner is going to be posting his fantastic DVD Spotlights over there. Also we have a fiction section where people like myself, Corey from Midnight Corey, and Keith Latch will be posting horror short stories and the like. So stop on over and check us out.
so if you’ve been listening to us lately, and shame on you if you haven’t been, we’ve been giving Vaughn over at Motion Picture Massacre a lot of crap lately. So what would happen if Vaughn and myself were on a show together? Well now you can find out. At the last minute on Monday maT from the Splattercast put out the call for some guest hosts as both Jeff and Steve were unavailable. So me and Vaughn were the two that answered the call and had our first voice to voice meeting since the war of words had started here on DZ. Somehow we muddled through and didn’t destroy the Splattercast in our wake. But I do call him out for not having his mom call into our show yet. So if you want to hear a podcasting super group (maT’s term not mine) then click on the picture above and check out the latest episode of The Splattercast.
So I am trying out this serial novel thing and decided to resurrect an old idea from my long vacant Livejournal. In it I will be writing one chapter a week. I consolidated all the work I had done before on my LJ and made that Chapter 1. So if you want to read along head on over to www.bryanwolford.net or just click on the banner above.
Well we tal
ked about his quite awhile back but here is the fist announcement for the Drunken Zombie Deadly Double Feature. We’re showing the great Zombie Apocalypse along with the classic Night Of The Living Dead. Two great zombie movies. Tickets are only $6 and the theater features a full bar! So kick back, grab a beer, and enjoy two great zombie movies with the Drunken Zombie Crew! Also check out our host The Peoria Theater!
The official site for the Drunken Zombie Film Festival is now open. The updates for the film festival will be located there. For now just some small news updates. Hopefully some big announcements soon. And submissions are now open. So if you know of any horror films that are looking for some festivals this would be the place to send them. Shoot us an email or shoot the filmmakers an email about our festival. Click on the banner to go to the new site.
Just like Mick Foley getting a cheap pop by saying the city he is in, I might as well get a little cheap heat of my own by plugging something somewhat new. I, Doiner is now writing non horror DVD Special Feature Spotlights for PennyCult. But have no fear DZ fans, Doiner will still bring you the Massiveness every week with his horror DVD Special Feature Spotlights. Massive!

So most people that listen to our show know that I am a big fan of Stephen King. So I jokingly threw out that I should start up a Stephen King podcast. Well the response was so huge that I felt that I just had to do it. And my good podcasting friend Dave (of the Cheap And Dirty Podcast) offered his services as co-host. So we finally recorded our first episode. This podcast is going to be semi monthly (some of those books are so long that we may need some extra time) and we’re starting chronologically. So for our first episode we talk about the book CARRIE. we dig and try to dissect it. Also we have some interview audio from King himself and from William Katt about the book and movie respectively. So if you want to check it out click on the banner below.

People seemed to enjoy it the first time around and we figured May had an M in it so it would sound good. If you are new and don’t know how this works: Each week for the month one of the members of the show picks a movie and doesn’t tell any of the others about it at all. In fact we don’t even know what the movie is usually until the title pops up on the screen. we watch and then review. It’s usually a lot of fun and we discover some fun movies that way.
So as many of you may or may not know Drunken Zombie will be celebrating its 100th episode at Horrorhound Weekend. So what does that mean? That means we want all of you to be a part of it. We will be recording throughout the weekend and want all of you to sit with us to share in the fun that will be our 100th episode. So don’t be surprised if you come up to us if we shove a microphone in your face and ask you some DZ related questions or just to talk about how much fun HHW weekend is. So that of course means we’ll also be partying pretty hard that weekend so definitely feel free to have a few drinks with us.
And if you can’t make it out to HHW then definitely call and leave us some fun voicemails at 206-338-7358
Cheers,
Drunken Zombie Crew
