As you may have heard on this weeks episode, I gave a couple details on the upcoming horror game “Dead Space”. Something I failed to mention was that they have done a 6 part “animated comic”, which chronicles the events leading up to the start of the game. The frames of the comic are drawn by none other than Ben Templesmith, artist for the original 30 Days of Night comics.
So I have always had this idea for a video game that would make horror fans cream in their pants. Why not a fighting game starring all our favorite psychos? Freddy, Michael Myers, Jason, Pinhead, Leatherface, and dare I say Ash! All in a fighting style game. Each has their weapon of choice. Let the brawl begin. Sounds great right? Figure it will never happen because of rights issues? Yeah I thought the same thing. But then today I saw an article on Bloody Good Horror that showed me that some guys who know computers way better than I ever will thought it was a good idea too. They are making the game for free and hope to release it sometime this year. Still a skeptic? Check out this awesome game play video:

A game I have been clamoring to play is Dead Rising. But I have a Wii and didn’t want to invest in an Xbox 360 so I have yet to play it. But our friends over at the Zombie Reporting Center put up an article that says Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop is going to be on the Wii. It will use the Wii’s motion sensor control and will not be quite as difficult the original was reported as being. So I for one can’t wait.
