In 2003 Freddy vs. Jason was slashing it’s was through theaters everywhere but on the radio waves the Freddy vs. Jason soundtrack was climbing it’s way out of hell to get to the top spot of The Billboard 200 list (Aug. 30 2003) but sorry to say it didn’t make number 1 but it did get the 25th spot overall but in the soundtrack category it got to the 4th position. This is a really Massive soundtrack for a film like Freddy vs. Jason. It’s hard hitting with metal & hard rock & it gets you in the mood to start breaking stuff…. OK maybe no breaking stuff but it will get you in the mood to rock out on a crazy night of Massiveness. The liner notes / booklet just has the artist name & track listing but on the other side of the booklet there is a picture of Freddy, Jason & the CD cover itself. So if you will, check out this soundtrack. Because you might find something new to listen too.

creature_musical_posterA you probably know I like horror movies; what you may not have guessed is that I love musicals, particularly inappropriate ones (several years back “Metropolis: the musical” based on the Fritz Lang classic was debut in a nearby town and remains one of my favorite musicals ever) this makes me part of a microscopic demographic that Universal Studios is trying to appeal to with the premier of there new stage show “Creature from the Black Lagoon: A Raging, Rockin’ Show

Starting July1st the musical will replace “Fear Factor Live”. while only 25 minutes long it promises “wet for dry” choreography arranged by Lynne Taylor-Corbett (of footloose the Broadway show fame), Broadway level effects and the world largest puppet (as The Creature) operated by puppeteer Michael Curry best known for his work on the Lion King Broadway show.
