Any other Stephen King fans out there? Okay. Any super Dark Tower nerds like myself out there? If so then you may already know about Discordia but if not allow me. If you head over to the official Dark Tower website the new Dark Tower experience is open and ready for you. You play the role of an investigator with psychic ablilites that the Tet Corporation has sent to investigate some recent rumblings from the Sombra Corp. And of course the first place you go is the Dixie Pig. You get immersed into the world of the Dark Tower and being to investigate your surroundings for clues and items that can help you find out what is going on. i’ve played a little bit of it so far and I have had a great time. so if you’re so inclined click on the pic above and you’ll instantly be teleported to Discordia!

As you may have heard on this weeks episode, I gave a couple details on the upcoming horror game “Dead Space”. Something I failed to mention was that they have done a 6 part “animated comic”, which chronicles the events leading up to the start of the game. The frames of the comic are drawn by none other than Ben Templesmith, artist for the original 30 Days of Night comics.

return to the maddening world of Lovecraft with a new set of modules for the Call of Cthuhlu Role playing game from Goodman Games. Best known fro there Dungeon Crawl Classics line of D&D modules, Goodman Games has Just signed an agreement with Chaosium to begin publishing an Age of Cthulhu line starting with Death at Luxor slated for a December 2008 release.
the age of Cthulhu will expand the Lovecraftian world beyond the traditional 1920s New England setting by first taking Gamers to Chicago House in Egypt to face archeologists who have been taken by the madness; then expanding the world even farther with modules being released quarterly threw 2009. From Asia to South America to Africa, Gamers will face maddening terrors from across the globe.
All Age of Cthulhu adventures will use the Basic Roleplaying mechanics as published by Chaosium

Privateer Press will be premiering it’s new collectible miniatures game, Monsterpocalypse at this years Gencon Indy. Being a huge fan of Kaiju and other “giant monster” properties, I was really psyched when I first heard about Monsterpocalypse. we have mentioned it a few times on the Podcast but now it is finally being released.
A limited amount of sneak preview starters and boosters will go on sale for the first time ever on Thursday, Aug. 14 at Gencon. The sneak preview contains a figures from Series 1: Rise. Better still if you participate in two or more games in the non-sealed debut event, then you will walk away with a limited-edition figure: Mega Zor-Raiden!
Monsterpocolypse series 1:Rise is due out to retailers in October 2008.
