Well ever since I started lauding Let The Right One In I was always hesitant of the upcoming American remake. I figured it would be Twilighted out and not hold on to all the things that made the original fantastic. Well the first trailer for Let Me In has hit.

And I’m actually really surprised. This looks (only from this specific example) to be a pretty faithful looking adaptation. It does look like they may have ramped up the tension in the film rather than the slow burn that the original had. But I’m still saying to seek the original out and watch it first. This has made me think I might need to give this a chance.

Ever wish you could help get good horror films made?  Now is your chance.  A long time friend of the show Rory (our old writer who used to write our Foreign Horror Mondays) is trying to make his latest horror film that sounds pretty awesome.  He’s roaring to go but just wants to raise some funding for a budget so that he can do some awesome practical effects in the movie.  Don’t make him go CGI!  Here is a synopsis of the film:

It focuses on a man trapped in his own home by agoraphobia.  After a home invasion ruins the protective aura of his safe haven he begins to experience what are either hauntings or psychotic delusions.  To find out which it is, well, you’ll just have to see the film when it’s done.

Well here is where you come in.  Check his website where you can donate to his film and help get it made.  And he’s not just taking your money and running.  Anyone who donates gets something for their trouble.  There is a scale of items depending on the size of your donation.  Go on over to http://www.everyonediesalone.com and check it out.  And check out his pitch video below.

Ever wished you lived in the Northern California area so you could attend Lord Blood Rah’s Nerve Wrackin’ Theater? Well here’s the next best thing. Live footage from an event. Me? I vote that Lord Blood Rah start his own horror host show on Youtube or some other video outlet. I would be first in line. Enjoy.

I must say that the concept of Altitude seemed pretty lame when I read it. Kids hop into a small plane and encounter monsters in the clouds. But when thought of as a Lovecraftian story (especially with the last shot in the trailer) I’m actually excited to see it. I can pretty much all ready tell what the twist is but still I want to see some tentacled mayhem!

Below is a fan trailer for the upcoming A Nightmare On Elm Street remake.  One thing this trailer does is bring some original bits to the story while keeping most of the mythology of the original intact.  I like the idea of Freddy being on fire.  So check it out and let’s hope at least some originality on this level is in the remake.

*Forgot to point out earlier that I got this from Horror Etc. Check them out for great stuff like this.

Many of us have been waiting for Sam Raimi to put Spiderman down and do some more horror films so when it was announced that his next film was going to be Drag Me To Hell no one was more pumped than me. The trailer has hit the web and from what I have seen I am excited. Some have not liked it but I think it has some interesting imagery that I want to see where it all goes. So we’ll see when it hits theaters. Check it out below.
